2015 Australia - Netherlands Water Challenge
This research project has been selected as one of two winning entries Nationwide in the 2015 Australia Netherlands Water Challenge. The presentation of the Australia-Netherlands Young Water Talent Award was received at the Floodplain Management National Conference on the 21st of May 2015. This competition provides young professionals with the opportunity to investigate the issue of climate resilience and co-operate with experts to develop solutions to this challenge. As a result of this selection, this research project will be further developed as part of the Australia-Netherlands knowledge exchange partnership.

Tom Perfrement
Tom is a Chemical Engineering Co-op Scholarship recipient at the University of New South Wales who is passionate about global water challenges. Tom has completed internships with three leading companies/institutions that are confronting global climate related challenges; Evoqua Water Technologies, Veolia Water and Geoscience Australia. In 2014 he was selected as the most employable future graduate nationwide in the engineering & science category of the 'Top 100 Future Graduates Awards' Competition. Tom loves big ideas and smart solutions and is the Founding Director of a Not For Profit company. In his spare time, he loves playing competitive sport, particularly tennis.

Tracey Lloyd
Tracey is a Chemical Engineering Co-op Scholarship recipient at the University of New South Wales with a passion for the water industry and the challenges faced in this area globally. This enthusiasm was fostered through internships with Veolia Water and Evoqua Water Technologies, both of which operate globally to provide water solutions to assist with climate challenges. Tracey has a high involvement with the community through participation in a number of community brass bands, competing at both state and national levels on a yearly basis. She is also a regular player in a social volleyball competition in her spare time.
